Where We Started

Where We Started

Early On

I was born and raised in a small town, Deale MD. Starting in elementary and middle school I was always interested in art, painting, drawing, sculpting, etc. Then when I got to high school, I began taking art classes more seriously. I had the pleasure of having one of the best artists of my time as a teacher in high school, Michael Bell. With my interest and a lot of help from great role models I began to expanding my knowledge and skills in art. From drawings to paintings, I enjoyed putting materials together and forming a work of art that people actually enjoy.

I saw opportunity in everything so naturally I was an entrepreneur from a young age. From selling Halloween candy during 6th grade math class to buying and selling trendy flip phones in high school. When it was time for college, I went to York College of Pennsylvania to study business. While studying standard business classes like economics, marketing, communications, yada, yada, yada, art fell by the way side.

Before Farmhouse products

After college I applied all around like you’re supposed to do; landing a job as a marketing supervisor for a lawncare company. As I transitioned around the company, I learned a lot (seriously, I learned more about types of grass and weeds then I’ll ever need to know). I was happy but I wasn’t doing what I loved…

March of 2017, I married my high school sweet heart of 8 years!!!  After a beautiful honeymoon we moved into an old farmhouse on our family farm with documented history dating back to the late 1600’s. While experiencing the next chapter in my life as a husband, I starting thinking of ways to make a living from the skills and interests I have developed over the years. I combined my Creativeness as an Artist, Skills as an Entrepreneur, and Pride for America and started making handcrafted American Flags.

The Start of Farmhouse Products

I realized making art, chatting with customers, and growing my brand is a lifestyle I would enjoy living. With a very supportive wife and A LOT of consideration and planning, I left my 9-5 job in lawncare to pursue my dream as a woodworking artist.

In the Fall of 2017 FarmhouseProducts was born!!!
